2.5 I know. You look at what the book is, and then you look at me and you wonder "Are you heartless? Why aren't you touched by this sad story of a woman finding herself after a childhood of unspeakable abuse? What is WRONG with you?!"I liked the book. The story needed to be told. That wasn't the problem I had. It wasn't the ending, like I've seen mentioned on other reviews, for not having enough "closure". I liked that the author didn't try to wrap it all up perfectly because these stories do

It was okay. I kept reading it because these types of stories are very interesting to me. I very much enjoyed the reference to "A Child Called It", as that has probably been the best child abuse book I've read. I find it a shame that while the author as an adult was going through the after-affects of her child abuse she lost in touch with the one relative who "rescued" her until it was too late.

This book is the sequel to, "Call me Tuesday", the story of a young girl made to put up with horrendous acts by her mother. This second book was more about her grown up life. What a hard story to tell but so important. This author put a lot of work into becoming a survivor, when it could have gone so many other directions, good for her!

Pain in my heart for this child and adultYou bring us into your life and as uncomfortable as the story is, your writing is a comfort. I was abused in a verbal and emotional controlled way I was ignored and ridiculed when asking for help about sexual abuse. I can relate to your fears and phobias and the challenges of living. You give me the courage to share my story some day although right now the thought feels a bit like the showing up at school naked dream (Shiver). Prayers and hugs to you! And

Must Read!I read Call My Tuesday first and couldn't put it down, I was hoping that this book was just as good. This is another book you can't put down the abuse the author went through is horrendous and it was so good to see that she was able to overcome the hell she had to grow up with!

This is a continuation of the book "Call me Tuesday". It is an account of the author after she was able to escape the home of her abuse and try to grow into an independent adult. We see that the abuse obviously follows the individual throughout their life - in ways we cannot imagine. Indeed, even the author could not understand why some dysfunction happened that seemingly was not connected to any specific event. You must read this book - is too has heartache, difficulties, and ups and downs. But
