I love Fabiola's books, she is one of my favourite authors.I loved this book from start to finish.I love the characters and the story.A good read, but definitely not for the faint of heart.*Spoilers*the memories of sexual abuse of a minor is depicted.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the first book by this author and I'm glad I got to read it. Even though it didn't totally capture and enthral me the story line does hold a lot of emotional scars, especially when dealing with abusive relationships. The characters have a lot of layers to them, they are complex and broken but I did hope for a happy ending to save their broken hearts. I personally wanted to hug them all the time, to keep them away from harm and from themselves.The lack of conviction is what lets this

I'm in awe with this book. I don't know how the author was able to write such an incredible, thought provoking, powerful, intellectual and deeply moving story. Bravo Fabi! It was very emotional and even though hard to read at times, such a beautiful book. I loved Mikayla, she grew and matured throughout the book.
