The thing that impressed me about this book was not so much Simmons' ability to scare, but to build characters and the world they live in. Simmons draws a map of this small town in your head so well that the reader can see everything that happens vividly. What a little treat for my earbuds! Im drawn to these coming of age tales set in a time long before I was born in a land across the pond.
