Pies & Prejudice (The Mother-Daughter Book Club #4)
3. The book pies and prejudice by Heather Vogel Frederick is a fun book that you cant stop reading! The book is about a mother daughter book club and all their adventures. It shows the story from the different perspectives of the girls in the book club. Emma a girl in the book club was surprised when her parents told them they were moving to England for a year. She was sad because she would have to leave her boyfriend and because she wouldnt be able to participate in the mother daughter book
I really enjoyed this book. This is my second time reading it and I like it the same amount that I did the first time!Honestly it's a lot of fun to see these girls grow up and learn and get boyfriends, and stick together. I would recommend this series to girls who like to read about modern school girls with lives that are real. There's the queen bee, the fashionista, the cute boy, the farmer girl, and the reader. And the tom-boy. It's really perfect for everyone. I'm probably either Cassidy

this book was by far my favorite in the series. I really liked how Emma and her family went to England and got to experience being in a book club, just away from their friends. Once again, I think it is really creative how the girls in the mother daughter book club manage to find creative ways to solve their problems!
i'm in a jane austen kinda mood, so i'm going to do the logical thing and read a semi-retelling of pride & prejudice through the lens of a mother-daughter book club
I often think said she, that there is nothing so bad as parting with one's friends, one seems so forlorn without them. This is a quote from chapter one in the book Pies and Prejudice by Heather Vogel Frederick. It is an important quote because it comes from a book that the characters are reading. Right before the start of Emma's freshman year her family unexpectedly moves to England. All of her friends and book club members are stunned. But thanks to technology, they can all video conference.
I am pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I took a risk choosing to read a book in the middle of a series without having previously read the earlier books (and only did so because of a local library reading challenge), but it stands alone well enough. I was missing some of the backstories but it was easy enough to either fill in the missing pieces or ignore them altogether. The only struggle with picking up the story in the middle of the series is that there are a lot of girls
