With Near openly suspecting the new L of being Kira and sowing doubt in the hearts of the taskforce members, Light is once again forced to pass the Death Note on to another to take the heat off himself. But this time, Kira chooses a disciple from among his true believers. With no way to contact his successor directly, Light must rely on his faithful follower's adherence to Kira's goals. Will this newest move bring Light's ideal world closer to reality? Or will losing control of the Death Note spell Light's doom?

Discuss Based On Books Death Note, Vol. 10: Deletion (Death Note #10)
Oh. Oh, oooh, oh! I see. Never a dull moment.

Gave a couple of month's gap between Vol 9 and Vol 10... and got heavily confused on who was who, and whats actually happening.Re-read vol9 and then Vol 10 was a charm. [Don't ask whether now I know - who is who!]Difficult to rate each volume individually. Overall the series is a 5 star!

I really liked the new character and the character that was brought back from the past. They definitely gave the story some freshness that it needed.

Better then the last one.

Actual review: 3.5There is a certain frustration in reading a series where the same thing happens over and over with different people. The cycle gets tiring after the fourth or fifth time. I flew through this edition, unlike the previous two, but I still don't care about any of these characters like I did at the start of this series. They could live, they could die, and I see no stake in it. It doesn't help that those who are trying to catch the killer are not likeable as well. I'm looking

The new characters try really hard but they just didn't work for me. However, their qualities are starting to show with this volume.

Mello and Matt are the highlights of this series! I need more of them... They need their own series! They are my favourite team. And I fear to say that if it came to Mello/Matt vs Kira, I would be supporting Mello and Matt!Loved Misa in this one, she's hilarious and I loved Mello's reaction to her, so much fun. However, I have to say that I miss the old days where Light could freely communicate with Ryuk. Now, we have Ryuk on the page but he's just there, standing and watching. The apple loving
