Amanda and Leo, born on the same day, have celebrated their birthdays together for 10 years. Still feeling hurt from an unkind remark Leo made at last years party, Amanda spends her eleventh birthday without her now-estranged friend to share the fun. In the days that follow, both Amanda and Leo discover that they are caught in a time loop, waking up each morning to find themselves repeating their eleventh birthdays. They soon renew their friendship and begin to experiment by making differentRead this in 4th grade, and I remember being pretty damn proud of myself for reading a more, "Big kid" book. Yeah, I wasn't much of a reader till a few years ago:)
Wendy Mass writes highly enjoyable realistic fiction with a fantasy twist. The characters are well developed and the 11-year-old friendships and dramas are true to life.Theres a great message about the need to resolve disagreements and heal grudgeseven among 11-year-oldsbefore you can move on. The story has the poignancy of that 90s movie Groundhog Day, for a much younger audience. For girls who need a friendship story this is a fun, easy read.

Leo and Amanda have been sharing their birthdays since the first one. After a fight during their 10th birthday they don't speak for a year and end up having seperate birthdays for their eleventh. But, when they wake up the moring after the parties they realize it's their birthday again!! They have to relive the day over and over again until they get it right and become friends again. Kind of like Groundhog Day. I thought this one was really good and well written. It's a great story of
I gave this book four stars, which is a lot for me. i tend to rate low. It's about a girl who was born on the same day as this boy, and they have always celebrated their birthdays together for years. This year (turning 11) they have a fight and don't. The day after their birthday, it is their birthday again. and again. and again. Sounds kind of weird, but i really liked it!!!
I currently finished 11 Birthdays by Wendy Mass. This book starts with Amanda on her 11th birthday. She's not enjoying it like she has in the past. For her this was a different birthday, for the first time she and her best friend Leo weren't having their parties together. All the information author gives away about that is that they haven't spoken in a year. When I read this I was thinking why are they not talking and what caused them not to speak to each other? I was excited to figure out what
