A gripping psychological thriller on the inherent greed and evil of man, dooming the planet. Two hundred years of tender love between man and alien, political downfalls, wanton violence of unspeakable order tempered with laughter, family loyalty and hope is the thrilling vehicle by which Ms Accinni conveys her cautionary tale of the merciless disrespect man gives his planet and the vulnerable creatures entrusted to him. "Baby" introduces Netty, a naive teenage farm girl given in marriage to an older brutal opportunist disguised as a successful citizen during the years of Prohibition in Sussex County, New Jersey. After years of enslavement, Netty flees into the night from her rapist and bootlegger husband, traveling back to the farm worked by her parents, where she rescues an unfamiliar damaged creature she finds in a cave in the woods of her childhood, falling in love with the enigmatic alien she names Baby. Together they find happiness and fulfillment despite the changes to Netty's body wrought by the proximity of the unusual creature. Damaged by entry into our atmosphere while pregnant, the confused creature forgets the purpose of his mission, appearing unconcerned with the disappearance of his offspring and savoring the unexpected joy of the love he shares with young Netty. When a handsome Italian stranger comes into Netty's life, complications ensue as she falls in love while trying to hide the bizarre and wondrous changes to her farm and her body. Netty, Baby and Wil strive to conquer obstacles thrown in their path by life, succeeding wildly until the heart-rending and astonishingly brutal climax to their story. This charming, yet brutal story is the prologue to a series that will chill and surprise you as it foretells the selfishly destructive path man has followed since his species evolved. It pulls no punches while allowing Netty and Baby's influence to transcend mortal life as the world dances toward depraved indifference, introducing other characters along the ride that readers will laugh, shed tears with and learn to despise. What lengths will Baby and his offspring go to complete their mission? Will it spell Armageddon for the beleaguered planet with its vulnerable and exploited creatures or will man tip the scales himself, leaving those that love the creatures to salvage the pitiful ruins?Rating Based On Books Baby (Species Intervention #6609 #1)

As much as I enjoyed Netty, Baby, and Wils story, it was a little hard for me to connect with these characters as the author used two different writing styles which I found slightly confusing and annoying at times. With Netty, Baby, and Wil the writing was too stiff and formal, and with the antagonists the writing was a lot more informal and too modern for the time period represented in the story. Although it didnt take away much from the story, I felt the author shouldve stuck with either ofBizarre? Weird? Tragic? Yes. Yes. Yes. I had high hopes for this one. It sounded right up my alley. But maybe it was TOO out there for me. Maybe I just didn't "get" it. Or, maybe this is one of those that needs to be read until conclusion before passing judgement. Whatever the case, this one just didn't work for me as well as I had hoped. The writing was pretty decent, but the entire time I waited for the other shoe to drop (which of course it did) and once that happened I was still like "WTF?"
Baby [Species Intervention 6609] book one by K AcciI adored this book. It is every pet lovers dream and it tugged on my heartstrings.Netty is extremely naïve in the beginning of the book. I wondered at which stage this naivety would actually start to annoy me, it never did. She is naïve but she is not stupid nor is she ignorant, she is simply untouched. Her state of bliss does not carry on though, her new husband is a treacherous man with no good intent, rapes her, disfigures her and cast her

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. At the beginning you couldn't help but feel the turmoil that the main character Netty felt living with her abusive husband. It was a violent Marraige and he had only married her for land and money that she had inherited but didn't know about. She finally gets the courage to escape his clutches so she runs and runs to the only place she knows. She ended up at the delapitated family home. One day Netty comes across a
Originally I planned on giving this a 4 star as the explanation of baby and the womb hurt my head. But Once I continued to read on I easily overlooked that as I watched the life of Netty and her brutal rapes and how she ran away from her abusive husband to start over with her rightful inheritance. But nothing is plain sailing in life and this book shows that. Her husband Robert wanted her inheritance.Along the way Netty discovered a creature from Oolahan who was called Baby. The love for each
I had the joy of reading J.K. Accinni's book Baby. The book itself pulled me in and it only took me 3 days to read because I kept forever getting lost in the story. I love the portrayal of Netty and how she goes from a caterpillar to a butterfly with the help of the amazing Baby. I could imagine baby trotting along behind Netty everywhere she went and I was just so very enthralled with his character. He was truly amazing. How he had unending and relentless love for Netty and then for Wil. I like
Netty flees from her abusive husband, Robert, hiding out at the New Jersey farm where she was raised where she hopes to rebuild her life. There, she unexpectedly encounters a dying alien, Oolahan, and nurses him back to health. She bonds with this creature she calls Baby and he uses his healing ability to revive the blighted farm. Netty finds a handsome man named Wil in the forest left for dead and they eventually fall in love. Life seems practically perfect until Robert learns of Netty's
