So this is the first manga I have ever read and so it was interesting getting used to the layout, how things are worded and just how the story is set out in general - what behaviours and things are focused on etc.Admittedly I have seen some of the anime, so I have the voices running through my head when I read it. It was a very quick and fun read and I am interested to get the next one to see where the story goes.Lydia Carlton is a faerie doctor and is seen as a bit of a nut-case by people as
I haven't read the light novels, so I didn't have high or low expectations from already knowing the story. My lackluster response is likely my own fault, since I know that I don't generally enjoy shojo unless it's been recommended specifically to me by a friend who knows my reading preferences well. If you generally enjoy shojo, then I would recommend this. I really enjoy manga art of historical European settings, and the treasure hunt/fugitive/romance aspects of the story seem like they'll make

Really interesting start. I do plan on continuing with the series. Love the art and the characters are all so different and I have so many questions about Edgar still.

That man is Edgar, who says he is descended from the human ruler of the fairy kingdom. And he needs Lydia's help to find the legendary sword so he may claim his birthright. Lydia agrees to help, but soon finds out just how dangerous this quest will be.Nice
I really enjoyed this manga. I loved the art (which is normally the first thing to attract my attention) but the story was also good. I liked Lydia right off, she's a little overly bright and good but then I expected the hero to be overly dark and broody which Edgar is. I liked that she wasn't well beloved for her personality but that her village were derogatory as to her supposed skills. This all feels delightfully English and I love how mangaka's can mimic a culture so unlike their own. I was

**Don't mind the ads on the bottom of my photos, I was reading on my tablet and I didn't edit them out** In saying this, I should mention that I just started reading a bit on my tablet so this was my first official digital book (Yay!) and that because it was a digital book, I got screenshot happy. Sorry, but not sorry. So I was perusing through my to-read shelf for some manga ideas, and found this one randomly near about the 4th page of my to-reads (out of like 20 something I believe).
