It is in the darkest hours of a universe’s past that their legends are born and their heroes rise…

No one knows exactly how much heart they have until their mettle is put to the hazard and they reach the lowest point of hell. There, they have only two choices. Lie down and die. Or find the strength to push themselves to their feet and fight back with everything they have.

Dagger is the alias that is used by Ushara’s husband, and the father of the twins, who is on the run for his life. This is his story and shows how he became a member of the Tavali and what happens to them after Born of Betrayal ends.

Discuss Regarding Books Born of Legend (The League: Nemesis Rising #9)
I read this while we moved to our new home and even with the interruptions and stress, I still kept going. AND it was super long - much longer than my usual read. The fact that I continued to be enthralled is a testament to Ms. Kenyon's writing and storytelling.

What an amazing story. I am always amazed how Sherrilyn Kenyon can take the most monstrous seeming character and turn everything around so they are then the hero. I now see Julian as my favorite character out of all the others. The way every single family member treated him since birth is just horrifying, but then to have to see them again after he was starting to heal just made me cringe throughout the book. My favorite parts were his time with his Tavali family. Ushara is such an amazing woman

Book six of seven in my pneumonia binging haze brought me to tears and to my knees. I have already re-read several sections in this book about 4 times and I just finished the book early Monday morning. I cried over Jullien because his story is the most disturbing and saddest to me of all. Through very little actions of his own, he's been tortured, beaten, abused and just about everything because of how he looks! I know that from other books, his mother seems to be a great person but every story

Wow!!!! I'm in love with The League series and I can't get enough.... I'm waiting for the next book to come out... Now that I've read Jullien's story I did feel sorry for him for what he went through as a child and as an adult but in the end he found happiness and a family that cares.... I can't wait for Bastien Cabarro's story

Wow...I wish I could give this 10 stars....!!!

He goes by many names: Dagger Ixur, Julien Dagger Samari, but the villain we all love to hate the former Tiziran Jullien Eton Anatole is back and this is his story. Jullien a.k.a. Dagger currently goes into hiding after the League and his evil family place a Kill-Thrill Warrant on his head for all the evil atrocities he had committed in the past not knowing that he had no control to his actions due to his family's callousness and abuse towards him. All he wants to do is be left alone and go to

3.5 starsGosh, how much I love this series. The characters and worldbuilding are amazing and it keeps me going even if there are parts I don't like that much in it. (the unecessary amount of dramatic scenes and violence etc.)This book is the example how a good plot and writing can make you like a character you hated basically in 8 and a half books. I never thought I would like Jules. Ever. And yet...Please, now let us find more about the Trisani people and Nero. I'm waiting for his book for
